September Session --命運符號

On September 24th, we have our 4th gathering of the year. About 40% of the participants are first timers of COH. We are happy to see lots of new faces to come and join us to share our beliefs.




For the ice-breaking game, we get into 6 big groups to build a mosaic picture together. The theme of the picture is "God's Creation" in the Genesis. Everyone had a fun time building the picture together with all the pieces of colour papers.




During the evening, we also share the following bible quote that show us how God give us blessing during tough times in our lives.

羅馬人書 5: 2-8

第五章--成義的效果
藉著耶穌我們得因信德進入了現今所站立的這恩寵中，並因希望分享天主的光榮而歡躍。不但如此，我們連在磨難中也歡躍，因為我們知道：磨難生忍耐， 忍耐生老練，老練生望德， 望德不叫人蒙羞，因為天主的愛，藉著所賜與我們的聖神，已傾注在我們心中了。 當我們還在軟弱的時候，基督就在指定的時期為不虔敬的人死了。 為義人死，是罕有的事，為善人或許有敢死的； 但是，基督在我們還是罪人的時候，就為我們死了， 這證明了天主怎樣愛我們。

God loves us before we follow him.

July Session (July 23)- 耶穌 – 最偉大的愛

Our theme for July session was 耶穌 – 最偉大的愛. It was our 3rd COH gathering in 2009. We had a great turnout that night with more than 80 participants and around 30% were non catholic comers. Praise to you our Lord. More and more people hear your words!




羅馬書 第五章: 6-8「當我們還在軟弱的時候，基督就在指定的時期為不虔敬的人
死了。為義人死，是罕有的事：為善人或許有敢死的；但是，基督在我們還是罪人的時候，就為我們死了，這證明了天主怎樣愛我們。」

Although there will be no COH gathering in August but it is our mission to keep evangelization ongoing in our daily life. We will see you all again in our September session on September 24th.

June Session (Jun25) - 知足常樂

It was our 2nd regular COH gathering in 2009. It was again fun night with over 80 participants, of which over a dozen were non-Catholics comers.

The theme of the night was 知足常樂.

瑪竇福音 16: 24-26
"耶穌對門徒說：誰若願意跟隨我，該棄絕自己，背著自己的十字架來跟隨我，因為誰若願意救自己的性命，必要喪失性命；誰若為我的原故，喪失自己的性命，必要獲得性命。人縱然賺得了全世界，卻賠上了自己的靈魂，為他有什麼益處？或者，人還能拿什麼作為自己靈魂的代價？"

The highlight of the night was a short video clip of the "Chicken Ala Carte" which reminds us to cherish what we have and not to take things for granted. Praise to our Lord!

May Session (May 28) - 人間有情

We had a great turnout for our first COH session in 2009 with close to 100 attendees! Our topic was 人間有情with the focus on how our love for each other is ultimately sourced from God. The Bible also teaches love in all aspects:

格林多前書 第十三章 , 4-7, 13

愛永存不朽　
愛是含忍的，愛是慈祥的，愛不嫉妒，不誇張，不自大，
不作無禮的事， 不求己益，不動怒，不圖謀惡事，
不以不義為樂，卻與真理同樂：
凡事包容，凡事相信，凡事盼望，凡事忍耐。
現今存在的，有信、望、愛這三樣，但其中最大的是愛。
